Pathway House Cold Weather shelter- When the temperature outside drops to 40 and below the shelter is open.

A Place for Us Ministries – (864-229-4243) Residential home for pregnant or troubled girls (13-28 years old in crisis) however, if you’re in crisis and a female between the age group above please contact them.

LONG-TERM / INCOME-BASED HOUSING: 

Greenwood Housing Authority (864-227-3670) Section 8 applications and Public Housing applications taken daily Mon-Fri from 8AM-4:30 PM. Both housing programs applications are online @gwdscha.com.  

Please make sure you print the housing application and the citizenship form before you submit the completed application. You can mail your completed application to 315 Foundry Road Greenwood SC 29646 or place it in the drop box located by the Public Housing door (first door from the parking lot) 

 

GAMES -Transitional housing for Domestic violence survivors and their children.  Must be fleeing or attempting to flee Domestic Violence. Call UHC Intake and Referral 864-241-0462 (8:00 am-4:00 pm Mon.-Fri.) 

 

Project HOPE -must be chronically homeless (4 episodes of literal homelessness that equal a year’s time in the past 3 years or one-year consistent literal homelessness-on the street or in a shelter) and have a documented disability.  Not currently accepting new participants

Information on the Partnership for Prescription Assistance.  A nationwide resource that provides assistance with prescriptions. Also provides a listing of local resources for low-income and/or uninsured individuals who need prescription assistance.
